Keep a Journal
Write your goals, plans, ideas, dreams and feelings in a journal. Use it to learn from your success and mistakes. Keep it private and keep it positive. Write about bad experiences but focus on solutions and the positive things that came out of the negative. There is always a "good" reason for everything that happens! You just have to find out what it is all about !
Identify Your Day-to-Day Emotions
In a given week, numerous emotions keep reoccurring again and again without us taking notice of them. For instance, do you regularly feel anxious or frustrated? Are you normally happy or excited? Become aware of your emotions and get to know your automatic thoughts! Get to know yourself!
Think Positively
Positive affirmations work! The subconscious mind cannot distinguish between reality and fiction, so whatever we "say" to ourselves, our imagination, dreams or fears are pure reality to our subconscious mind. Therefore, we can intentionally influence our feelings by controlling our thoughts. Positive thoughts will be followed by successful action. Start off your day with 10 minutes of positive affirmations: " I am happy to be me" or "I create my own destiny" or "I control the focus of my mind" or " I am grateful for...", etc.
Hang Out With the Right People
Why make life harder by taking on other people's problems all the time? We all know someone who habitually complains and, before long, negative things happen to that person. Hang out with the people who live life positively -- people who can laugh and take responsibility for their lives without complaining constantly how much better life could be.
Avoid Gossip & Complaining
You will be amazed how much lighter life becomes once you choose not to indulge in nonproductive comments about other people and situations anymore. Just resist -- then move on and do something good with your life!
